The Crane Career Ladder plan compensates teachers based on performance. A restructured salary schedule allows a less experienced teacher to receive the same salary as a more experienced teacher. A formula is used to determine the separate Career Ladder salary. The formula includes the difference between the Career Ladder target salary and the regular district salary. A percentage of the difference is paid along with a base level amount depending on the amount of available funds. |
