Home of the Bulldogs, HLS has over 600 students enrolled in grades kindergarten through sixth. We take pride in the fact that each and every staff member is committed to helping all students succeed in reading, writing and math. To see how H.L. As a Reading First School our goal is to have every child reading proficiently by the end of third grade. With this goal in mind, teachers work collaboratively with their grade level team to ensure that each child is progressing appropriately. We take our responsibility very seriously!

Parent Involvement
We welcome parent involvement and input. At HLS we believe that educating children takes a strong team effort between teacher, student, parent and principal. Come join our active PTO and become a part of the HLS team.
